Dubbed the “unofficial Scottish National Folk Orchestra”, the Unusual Suspects is directed by Dave and singer & harpist Corrina Hewat. Ranging in number anywhere from 16 to 32 players, they feature the best of Scotland’s folk and jazz musicians. Their debut CD Live In Scotland will be followed up by a new album in 2009.

bachué


Formed back in the early 1990’s, Bachué were regarded as one of Scotland’s leading exponents of Celtic crossover music. Based around the duo of Dave Milligan & Corrina Hewat, the band latterly featured Donald Hay on percussion and Colin Steele on trumpet. Bachué played their last gig in August 2006. They released 3 albums; Bachué Cafe, A Certain Smile and The Butterfly.

Award winning Scottish trumpeter and composer. Dave was a founder member of Colin’s quintet, and was arranger for the three highly successful albums to date; Twilight Dreams, The Journey Home and Through The Waves. Steele’s 10-piece Stramash will be releasing their debut CD early in 2009.

Dave’s duo with concertina virtuoso Simon Thoumire. They have released two albums, The Big Day In and Third Flight Home and have performed throughout the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia.

Catriona Macdonald is a proud bearer of one of the world's great fiddle traditions, that of the Shetland Isles. A star pupil of the late Dr Tom Anderson MBE, Catriona at once embodies the strength and spirit of her heritage with the freshness and diversity of a thoroughly modern performer. Her superb playing and great charisma have established her a worldwide reputation. Dave has featured in her band since it started, releasing two highly-acclaimed albums, Bold and Over The Moon.
